Locally known as the best authentic Cuban food in Seattle!
Geo's Cuban Bar & Grill is a family owned business in Seattle, WA . It is a spin-off from our first restaurant, Geo's Cuban & Creole Cafe, established in 2013. About two years into operating the first location we began talking about a larger second location with full service dining and a bar. We finally found the right spot in the Broadview neighborhood in October of 2017. Once the lease was signed we began pouring all of our blood, sweat and tears into the remodel. It finally paid off in February 2018 when we opened our doors to the public.
Meet the Owner and Head Chef: Geordanys Rodriguez
Geo was born in Guantanamo, Cuba and spent his formative years in Havana. Cooking has been a passion for Geo since he was a child. He remembers helping his grandmother prepare family meals and being intoxicated by the smells coming from the kitchen. His father was also a huge influence and a talented cook.
Geo arrived in the U.S. on Independence Day, 2005. It was a huge transition for him, having never been off the island of Cuba before. But, he embraced his new life and began taking English classes at Seattle Central and working at the Black Bird Bakery on Bainbridge Island. Since those initial days he has worked in several acclaimed restaurants in Puget Sound, fine tuning his culinary talents and restaurant industry experience.
Geo has embraced life in the U.S. and lives his passion every day. He is very proud to be the Chef and owner of Geo's Cuban Bar & Grill.
